I have 3 groups for a study (A, B, C) made up of subjects with 3 different motivation levels (motive1, motive2, motive3). The subjects in Group A are not divided by motivation levels, but subjects in both groups B and C are. I would like to contrast group A with group B at motive1, group B at motive2, group B at motive3, and the same for group C at each of motive1, motive2, and motive3.
I'm having a hard time coming up with the estimate statement based on the fact that group A doesn't have the same 3 levels of motivation that groups B and C do-- can I even run this comparison? Any thoughts appreciated!
