sas developer

Hi all,
I have done bachelor's in computer applications in 2008 after which I changed my career into customer services and don't really have any IT experience.
Now I am looking to start again in IT through sas.
Please guide me as how to start and where should I apply for the certification. Please advise about duration and career growth.
