Proc surveyreg question

I have a quick question about proc surveyreg. I understand that proc survey reg is appropriate for complex survey data with strata and clusters. However, proc surveyreg appears to produce different standard errors from proc reg even if I don't specify strata, clusters, or weights in proc surveyreg. Can anyone tell me why that is? Thanks a lot for the help.
